Welcome to Tipsy Turbine. We’re a small indie RPG studio dedicated to making great player experiences. Currently in the pipe? Selection: A Strategy-based Roleplaying Game

Selection puts a hard science fiction twist on the alien invasion trope. Gone are the glory days of the Protomiric race; their civil war destroyed it. The survivors who straggle their way to Earth are not wealthy or powerful, and they are certainly not many in number. None of them care about taking over the Earth; just finishing their grudges with each other.

By the time you meet a Protomir, it will have abandoned its alien physiology in favor of a human one. Alien traits would immediately tell their rivals who they are. In your adventure, you will meet two kinds of Protomir; Arsill and Nexill.

Arsill act as patrons for your characters; they give you access to Protomiric technology and inform your characters with what they know about events in exchange for help defusing and eliminating Nexill threats.

Nexill are the defacto antagonists. They always want to hunt down and eliminate any Arsill they can, often deliberately causing death and mayhem along the way to narrow down the search. While they can mutate any humble Earth creature to serve as their foot soldiers, these are often just distractions and cover for their real agents; Shadows–humans who have knowingly made a deal with the Nexill–and Strings, who believe the Nexill is a human with good intentions and unwittingly help create plots.

And the Chimera are constantly growing.
